Befitting response to ceasefire violation, ready for Govt order on PoK - Lt Gen

Military is always ready to make sure that ceasefire understanding is never broken as it is in interest of both nations, but if broken at any time, Hum eet ka jawab pattar se denge(we'll give them a befitting reply), said Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi. Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi was replying toa question on ceasefire agreement between India & Pakistan.

Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Tuesday reacted to defence minister Rajnath Singh's recent statement hinting at retrieving parts of Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan and underlined that a parliamentary resolution exists on the subject and that it is 'nothing new'.

"As far as the Indian Army is concerned, it will carry out any order given by the government of India. We are always ready for it," Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, the general officer commanding-in-chief of the Northern Command, was quoted by news agency ANI.
